Khalil Amani on The Opperman Report!

By Khalil Amani

There has been lots of speculation surrounding Khalil Amani as a government operative. Indeed, he was a government informant, but don't be mislead and think that his story is your everyday garden variety "snitch" narrative.

Khalil Amani has done plenty of interviews over the years about his cult experience—starting in 1988 on CBS’s national TV show, “West 57th Street” when he was 28 years old, looking like a broke Morris Day with a Jheri Curl and a purple paisley suit. In 2010, Amani appeared on The Biography Channel’s, “I Survived” (a cult) and then again in 2013 on The Biography Channel’s, “Escaping Evil: My life in a Cult.” In 1994, Sydney P. Freedberg published her book, "Brother Love: Murder, Money and a Messiah," which documented Khalil Amani's life in the Yahweh cult and then, in 2007, Khalil Amani penned his memoir, "My Id: Ignant & Dissfunkshunal! Life in the Yahweh Cult and the Witness Protection Program." (
